Board Update - December 2025
Happy new year, Linkies! We hope you had an amazing time during your holidays, and that the resit season is treating you well~ With Tilburg now looking like the Winter Wonderland, it’s time to look back on how our winter started in Link. Here’s a short recap of the bit of joy we got to experience before the exams!
🧑🎄FTOTM: Christmas edition🧑🎄
Linkies were so good, that Santa decided to come earlier for the December First Tuesday of the Month ;). To already get into the festive mood, we planned a Secret Santa to pair with the monthly drinks!🎁 Through the signup sheet, people let their “Santa” know what their favourite characters, games, and many other things were. It was so exciting to see the smiles and hugs shared in Olympia Sports Bar, after everyone got their small personalized gifts!
Later in the evening, Linkies competed against each other in our Christmas pub quiz, navigating through many rounds of Christmas music, winter games and holiday trivia. The winning team earned winter decorations for their vast holiday knowledge!🥳

The exams were right around the corner yet again, so on the 3rd of December, Link’s academic weapons gathered in Spawnpoint to study hard. 💪 We’re hoping everyone’s exams went well!!
🎮Dutch College Esports Series tournament playoffs🎮
The esports side of Link is as busy as ever! Three out of four of our teams have made it to the playoffs, so let’s dive into their individual achievements:
For Counter Strike 2, yet again, Pawfessionals have had a huge winning streak since the beginning of the season, securing a spot into the grand finals on the 10th of January! 😯
In League of Legends, things are getting heated between two of our teams~ 🔥 Tomatoes and Dangerous Dumplings kicked off the playoffs by going against each other in the very first round, all under the eyes of excited viewers on our Twitch channel! Legend says they’re back to playing against each other in the third round of playoffs… 👀 Stay tuned on our Twitch to see which Link team makes it to the grand finals, it’s going to be a spicy stream!
👾Esports Winter Events: Party Game Night👾
The winter edition of the Esports Seasonal Events began in mid-January, and is still ongoing now at the time I’m writing this! For those who don’t know, this project is an initiative for esports associations to gather during vacations and have fun together through community events; sounds so fun, right? 🙌
Of course, Link hosted its own event for EWE on the 29th of December, namely the Party Game Night! 🎲 With the guidance of our Esports Officer, participants played various versions of Jackbox games: Quiplash, Talking Points, and Fibbage to name a few.
This all sums up how our December went! :D Let’s see what the new year brings…
