Board Update: December 2024 Recap & Cheers for the Holidays!
Hey everyone!
It’s been an absolutely fantastic month filled with fun, laughter, and some big announcements. Although December is a calmer month with exams and holiday season, we’re excited to see everyone back again in January. Getting back to December: We’ve had so many fun events, and it’s been awesome to see so many familiar faces and meet some new ones. Here’s a quick recap of what we’ve been up to:
• Exciting Announcement: Lustrum LAN!: We’ve got some BIG news—Lustrum LAN is coming! We're super pumped to announce this upcoming event, and we can’t wait to see everyone come together for some epic in-person fun. Trust us - it’s going to be something you won’t want to miss!
• Twitch Stream Linksgiving and matches!: Our stream was an absolute hit! It was so much fun watching everyone get involved, and we loved seeing the energy and laughter roll in from the chat. You all make it a great time! Furthermore, our teams, the Pawfessionals and FF05, performed exceptionally well, and we couldn’t be prouder. It was a blast watching everyone compete and showing off such strong teamwork. You guys made us all proud!
• FTOTM: We kicked off the month with our usual FTOTM gathering. We hope you all like the Christmas cards! <3 While it’s always a blast connecting, just a heads up—we won’t be having FTOTM in January, so we’ll miss seeing you all, but we’ll be back at it in February!
• One Shot Night: If you missed this one, you definitely missed out! Our one-shot night was filled with unexpected twists, laughs, and some memorable moments. It’s always fun to see everyone having fun!
• Secret Santa: The Secret Santa event hosted by EventCo brought some much-needed holiday cheer. Seeing everyone’s reactions as they opened their gifts was heartwarming—thank you to everyone who participated and made this so special!
• Casual Game Night: Whether it was a chill round of something cozy or some quick action-packed sessions, casual game night gave us the perfect chance to unwind and catch up. It’s always a good time, no matter what’s on the screen.
• Book Club: We did have a Book Club event planned, but unfortunately, it had to be canceled this time. We’ll get back to that soon, so no worries—next time, we’ll have more to share and discuss!
• Merch Drop interest form!: Don’t forget to fill in our merch drop interest form! It will be open until January 10th! Your choice will make a difference, so stay tuned for the merch drop soon!
• The Student leagues are wrapping up!: With the holidays approaching, the Dutch College Esports Series came to a close after the finals in mid-December. With 3 League of Legends, 2 Valorant and 1 Counter-Strike team, Linkies made sure to put our name on the board. A special congratulations goes out to the Pawfessionals CS-team, who sweeped their league without a single loss to establish Link at the top of the Dutch E-sports scene. And another congratulation goes to the Valorant FF05 freshie squad who achieved a commendable second place in their inaugural season!
To wrap things up, we just wanted to thank each and every one of you for making these events so enjoyable. We love seeing you all come together and having lots of fun as a community! :D
